Mini-Saab, Slim Porsche Cayenne, Sand + Engine = Bad - 12/6/2007

The new Porsche Cayenne delivery has been halted. Porsche has not given customers or dealers accurate information. The first shipment of cars scheduled for 15 November are being held in ports until an unspecified electrical problem can be resolved. Customers and dealers alike have not been given answers from Porsche regardding the time frame required to correct these issues or any indication that Porsche is concerned with their schedules. Customer satisfaction must not be a current priority at porsche.

I like the mini-fighters coming down the pike. I am so tired of giant SUVs all over the place. I don't own a mini, but the wife wants one, bad. Would be nice to see what the competition has going as alternatives. I'll downsize too, from my big ugly Camry hybrid back to another STi, or an Exige S would work fine too.

Detroit, the reventon perhaps, thats his favorite, and some party money for the strippers !

Yes, Mr. D deserves it by now, I'd love to see him go apeshit in an interview with 50 and his G8. And why not let him roll in that GT3? Throw in some strippers with that hotel room you guys should get him, just to make up for Vegas.

And oh, DD should go to the Detroit show.  I liked Koreandudes' idea of 0, a toothbrush and camcorder.  A bus or plane ride is too easy.  If this would be a 5 day series as Vegas was, the first episode would be Derek's trip to Detroit.  But don't leave him out in the cold either.  I'm sure there is a FLD viewer of female persuasion that will take him in for a week.  

..And the small car wars continue.  Saabs new 9-1 is a good idea for the company, just hope its interior is just as luxurious as the other Saabs.  Otherwise, its just another small car.  I must admit, I'm confused, when you were talking about the Saab, you said, "sporty enough to fit the Saab brand"...there was a picture of a mom and 2 kids looking in a corner of what may be a bookstore.  What's with that?

With FLD @ 10 million hits and counting, he's surely popular enough among America's finest people to get there safely with some hopefully interesting video content.  If not it'll be even more interesting.

We're sending the company's Gulfstream 5 to Newark Liberty to pick up Derek and fly him back to the Detroit auto show.  This outstanding young man is an example of journalism at it's finest.  And Derek will stay with us at the cottage in Grosse Point.  No Motel 6 for Double D.
