hate the GLK btw ... and that passat .. looks ok, but you'd think VW would have learned an expensive lesson with the Pheaton (sp?) ... VWs are cheaper Audis - keep it that way.

Awesome coverage of the NAIAS guys! Make everyday as good as this and it'll be sweet. That Volkswagen Passat CC looks pretty sexy . . . never thought that about a Volkswagen before. The Audi's were awesome too but they always are.

Great show... I'd love to see more behind the scenes too :-)

5 Years ago you could say that, but now diesel is almost as expensive as normal Fuel here in Germany. And it's insanely expensive. 
I hope i get it right: it costs 1,49 Euro per Liter that would be 5,6 Euro per gallon and 8,4 USD per gallon.
I'm already heating my flat by eating sauerkraut all day ;(

The Audis look good, the green beemers look cool don't care about the VW or the Benz attempt at a Subaru Forester.

Cayenne is a boat anyway.  I'd rather have a Boxster than a Cayenne, and Boxsters suck too.  A 911 or, in a pinch, one of those Caymans with the 911 engines shoehorned in.

On a budget, the TT-s will be okay though.

What?  Nothing on the Audi S5?  I'm disappointed.  I'm also surprised Audi didn't bring in the Q7 or A4 with the 3.0 diesel we are "supposedly" getting in the next year or so.

I remember reading that Porsche isn't coming to the NAIAS this year because their sales in Detroit were horrid compared to other American markets like LA or NY. So they just said eff it. I heard that driving ANY foreign car in Detroit is suicide anyways. 

That Diesel V12 is amazing. Winder if it will catch on fire too.....jk! Awesome coverage Mr. D!

Diesels making a comeback?  Seems to be a German fuel of choice these days (or has it always?).  Not so sure how Americans will think of it although I find it's a good idea now that it's being implemented as a viable performance powertrain.
