so, I kinda like the new LRX. And, ummm... Adam Carolla?! R u freakin' kidding me?! 

ok...im trying to come around on this Adam Corolla thing. I had no idea he was a serous enthusiast. More imporanty...his wikipedia entry states that an Asteroid was named in his honor: 4535 Adamcarolla

now thats kinda neat. maybe.

and Im not sure whats the big deal about the Datsun 510....but apparently he does own a Lambo 350GT....the first car that Ferruccio purposely built to be a thorn in Enzo's side....in response to Enzo snubbing him and telling him that he was only good at driving tractors. Its also the car the Herbie trashed in a fit of jealousy in 'The Love Bug'' (ok maybe it was a 400GT). Anyway to own a 350GT is cool. Im willing to be open-minded about Adam...and I hope American Top Gear is going to be a good show.

I think Adam paired with Leno would be awesome for top gear america.  Throw in danica's hot ass as the stig and maybe alittle Seinfield and we got a show!

Wow, Adam Carolla was actually on my dream list of potential Hosts. How sweet is that? He's got the political incorrectness and anti-establishment swagger, plus the knowledge and passion of performance cars. Why is everyone doubting him so much?

Other co-hosts that I think would be good: Tommy Kendall, Matt Farah, Chip Herr, Alex Roy 

Anyone that is questioning Corolla's qualifications to host a potential US Top Gear show is just ignorant. He's been building and working on cars for 20+ years. He knows more than you. He owns a Cooper S, a 510, a 911, an e36 etc etc. If anything he is MUCH more than a car guy than Clarkson, who daily drove a light blue Gallardo Spyder? Talk about "Un-Cool". 

Before you hate on him go do some homework. Check out some back issues of the hardcore racing mag, Grassroots Motorsports. 

So, having a Datsun 510 qualifies you as a car guy? Adam Corolla is funny, but not Top Gear type.

Drooling over the new Holden - add it to Pontiac's stable with the 4 door G8 and Camino-esque Ute, and now a 2-door GTO! It looks great, but the new 6.0 is down on power from my '06. WTF?

Personally, I think that Adam Carolla is gonna be SWEET! I remember him from his days on the radio in LA on KROQ.  He was funny as hell.  Alex Roy gives him thumbs up... so that's all the endorsement I need!

LRX betta make it into prodution and it betta look just like that 2, no changes. dont know about Adam Corolla hosting Gear but i guess we'll just have to wait and c,  no on can do what the BBC guys do but we'll chow how it goes. lotis that can run on 3 different kinds of fuel is great and it gets more hp and 0-60 awesomeness. and i really do hope that coupe 60 gets a kooler high light profile and slaps on a GTO badge. 

The Coupe 60 is abrutally looking australian muscle car. Mate that with a turbo intercooled engine---maybe 600+rwhp and im sold!

Wow, great show guys from start to finish. Corolla isn't exactly who I had in mind to host the show. I would like to see Leno, Goldberg, and Travis Pastrana as the hosts. Then put Paul Tracy in the Stig's suit.

What i like about the show is when you say "I LOVE YOU" at the cat then the CAR. Now that's FASTLANE DAILY"   

Q7 is stupid.  I can get a breadtruck to 60 n 5 seconds with a big enough engine, but it doesn't make sense either.

These crossover SUVs that are so trendy now are just stupid, though Land Rover making a 60mpg car is a welcome change from the ~12mpg yachts they usually make.

Adam Carolla on Top Gear is crap.  Just lost my interest.  I would much rather see Leno, since he is a total car fiend, and I think that is a key ingredient to making it work.  The Top Gear guys in UK are sometimes annoying, but their passion sells the show.  Too bad Top Gear could never afford Leno, unless he does it for fun, which would make the show even better.

I would totally buy a 270E Trifuel Lotus.

I would so much prefer DD over Carolla as the new host of the American Top Gear.

If Adam Corolla can really drive and really critique and compare the performance dynamics of various cars...then I'm all for it....so...no disrespect to Adam. He wa better on the Man Show then Kimmel anywy. No idea how Kimmel has conned the networks into thinking he's such hot property. But, if Adam cant deliver...its gonna be bad. The Brits are probably laughing their ass off at the concept of an American Top Gear anyway...so we're gonna be under major scrutiny here. Whoever is producing it (NBC?) better do it right...or we're gonna look even more stupid on the global stage.

Kinda like having Vinne "Tuna only belongs on a sandwich" Pastore as a Judge on Iron Chef America.

Huh, I actually not displeased about Adam Corolla potentially hosting the American Top Gear. I read an interview with him in an issue of GrassRootsMotorsport magazine a while back. Dude is a REAL car guy. Can't wait. Should we start a petition to get Double D on there?

Nice show.  When will Audi start selling the 3.0 diesels here.  The 6.0TDI is awesome, but out of my price range.

That LRX is nice.  And a diesel to boot.  I can't wait.

Yeeks...Adam Corolla as host of Top Gear?!?! No offense to him but the fucker better know something about cars...and especially how to drive em well enough to truly comment on their handling dynamics under hard-driving condtions. Ever see how they drive cars to their limit on Top Gear (BBC)? Pretty wicked. Not your standard lame video review. This Adam Corolla thing may pan out to be like Dennis Miller as a host of Monday Night Football. 

I wonder whos gonna be "The Stig"?. The way theyre headed....its probably gonna be Gilbert Godfried or Lewis Black.

DD should be the host. Alex G and Carrie Milbank can be Stig-ettes in form-fitting racing suits.
