*And he says term paper -- buddy, when you complain about paying rent in that rathole you live in, remember that I do have an SCCA license from Bondurant in Arizona, and my daily driver is an E60 M5, keep your mouth shut before you condescend to people who are superior. In worth and value.

Doesnt the F50 count as a "road car?" Theyre legally registered and driven in Europe. Faster by .2 0-60 and 4ish top speed than an F430.

Bragging how quickly you can take a chicane is a sure-fire way to be called out as a poseur. Any driver worth his SCCA license knows a race isn't won in the chicane. Now, how about you go finish that term paper and let the adults talk about cars.

Derek, how did you miss the paddle shifter???? Right before you said "Oh my goodness" you missed it. Though you are not Clarkson you did great in a car with more than double the power and powerband  of your Cobalt.

  Sebastian has broken more records in such a short span of time and has contributed so many good things to the sport of Rallying than most of these irresponsible officials.
  Yep it's like the Camaro is for Chev and the Firebird is for Pontiac - same for the once El Camino and the new G8 Sport truck.

Your comment that the F430 is the best sounding proves to me, and all of your viewers, that you belong in a dungeon -- and taking that chicane at 35 mph makes Paris Hilton look fit to drive the SLR. 

490 hp and DD only use 10, u really do suck at this, plz stick to hosting and jokes. i mean really dont those things rev up 2 like 9500rpm???? from the sound of that u didnt even hit 5500rpm through out the whole course until the end, no wonder u only got up to 140mph u were hardly really in the power band. i mean i know ur no race car driver, but really just 140??? in a ferrari i might add, i've done 130mph in a five speed mazda 5, and might i point out that, that thing is no exotic nor was i on a track, anyways point is i like the idea of super car life on FLD i just think u should have someone like Matt or even jean do it, cuz at least they have some idea of how to drive a car. oh and i figured i'd be commenter of the week, cuz thursdays commet not only had nothing really to do with cars but i laid it on DD pretty hard, i figured that was get me there for sure, i mean isnt that the criteria for being commenter of the week???? lol. 

I guarantee you that new McLaren wont be as good as the original, so why tarnish the name?

Why doesn't supercar life have a corvette Z06..its faster than all those cars (proven) except the 911 turbo, and it actually requires you to drive the car with a little thing called a traditional manual transmission, no paddle shifting bitch stuff...

DD, Im sure you fully acknowledge that you arent a trained performance driver and you have light years to go...so dont sweat the hate. And, only the priveledged few in the world who have regular access to alot of performance vehicles...or totally sterile people without a ballsack and a pulse...could keep themselves from acting like a giddy little schoolgirl when presented the chance to drive 5 six-figure rides on a closed track.....so again, dont sweat it. WHo cares if your comments arent incredibly insightful or sophisticated at this point...Its cool to see you so damned excited...how could you not be? its a boys dream...im certainly a supercar vigin nd id probably soil the leather seats due to my excitement.

So, we know DD and NNN have got alot of room to grow...yet we also know that they have thrown their hat in the ring to play the game of automotive journalism, and they are gaining momentum.

So once again DD/FLD/NNN, keep on growing and dont sweat the hate:

You guys missed a huge opportunity with your Supercar Life segments.

First, Derek, I hate to tell you this, but you just ain't no Jeremy Clarkson or Tiff Needel.  I love you Bro, but your charm, urban fashion savvy and street cred just don't translate behind the wheel.  Plus, you might use a booster seat next time - the fact that you have to look up and over the top of the steering wheel like a shrunken grandma in a 70's Caddy is bloody annoying.

Second, assuming you can't find an appropriate performance oriented booster seat for Derek, you should mine some of your past relationships for driving talent.  For instance, I would have loved to have heard Jay Leno crack wise while driving these lusty beasts.  Or maybe Alex Roy -- he has TONS of driver cred and his rants are epic.

Third, if you can't get real drivers to push these exotics, why not add some competition (or at least some beauty) to spice things up.  For example, pit Alex and Carrie against Derek for best lap times.  At best, we get to see beauty and grace in multiple dimensions.  At worst, we get to see how much Derek sucks as a driver.  Top that off with a little competitive drama and you have yourself a real winner.

Don't get me wrong... I still enjoyed the segments.  When Derek wasn't yammering on about how 'righteously stoked' he was, it was awesome to hear the engine notes of these road-legal racing marvels.  I believe, though, that with just a little bit more 'oomph', you guys have it in you to deliver some truly unbelievable, mind-blowing and unique entertainment.  

Even with the above noted 'short'-comings, you guys still ROCK!.  I am a devoted fan and can't wait for what you guys come up with next.  And who knows, maybe Derek will finally make it through puberty and grow up to be an unassailable superstar talent behind the wheel.  ;-)

I'd hate to see DD blow a tire at speed.  With that bad hand positioning on the wheel, he'll do some  serious damage.  More damage than his tiny little body can afford.  lol

Respectifully DD, I have to disagree when you said the Ferrari has the best sound.  The Lamborghini sounds pretty sweet.

And British powerplants suck!  They are worse than American engines.

WRC is idiotic.  Surinder has a caterpillar on his face and noone said anything.  Driving is important grooming less so.  YouTube commenter of the week.

Whats with the Britishs cars with non-British engines.. Dont they know how to make engines??? McLaren F1 with BMW's engine, the Lotus Elise/Exige with Toyota's motor,  And lets not forget Jaugar with Ford's motors

Hey... I deserved to be Commenter of the Week, wth. 
Anyhoo, good show and DD's driving seems to be getting better, but if that really was him going through that last chicane, that was ultra slow dude, speed up.
DD, keep your day job, and leave performance car testing to professionals like Clarkson. Still DD did better than Gene from his segments last year.
As for the WRC complaining about Loeb's appearance, that just shows how effin stupid they are. Do they really have that much time on their hands to worry about how a driver looks? Stupid. I think that Mr. Thatti guy must be jealous of Loeb.
