Toyota Venza, Dodge Challenger Convertible, Mini E, Chevrolet Corvette - 10/20/2008

Hey FLD - first off, love the show. love the host(s). love the humor. love the content. what I don't love is the valvoline sponsorship - brandon and the frog sucks. they're frauds, and it's obvious that valvoline put them up to it. Really, I'm most bummed for you (FLD) have to drop your pants and bend over and take it from Valvoline and pretend like it's awesome. I don't blame you, you do what you need to get cheese, but...I know you're crying on the inside. I'll wipe your tears.

Ferrari team is “a loss to explain” why their cars were not a competitive as the McLaren in China...Well here is one theory. Who makes the electronic control units (ECU) for ALL F1 cars? McLaren Electronic Systems, Part of the McLaren group. Who is the most “efficient” negotiator in the F1 World? Bernie Ecclestone. It’s not a long call to imagine that a deal has been done between McLaren and Bernie after last year’s “punishment” for the scandal of Ferrari data being used on McLaren cars. Imagine a standard ECU that is used by all cars, tracking and reporting on all aspects of the cars performance, millions of lines of code, could there be a way to alter a cars performance give it a few more hp? Change the mapping of the engine, without anybody knowing? Well if Lewis wins, the sport gets it’s youngest F1 champion, the UK “paying” public will go wild and what will next year’s TV ratings be like? Royalties, fees etc. Bernie and McLaren have a lot to gain. Would they do this???

MiniE FTW. Tesla had its chance and blew it. I've heard of vaporware, but damn, they mastered the vaporcar to a degree eclipsed only by Moller.

JerZ represent! Sad corvette news....its true though, some corporate divisions have got to be taken out. Corvette should stay updated. It has still to catch the ACR in the ring. I would definitely consider the miniE for the daily commuter. I love mini's. So cool and so much fun to drive. Reminds me of my old 89 civic...with better interior....

i have 2 say the Venza by street image is pretty damn sexy. challenger drop top..... i'm not sure what 2 make of that just yet, it looks nice i guess.

Sad news concerning the delay of the C7; I would love to see it...and I would love to see the Vette get a sexy interior for once. But I guess you had to expect it considering the economy, environmental pressures, and the state of the Big 3 auto industry in general. But gosh...the Vette is GMs HALO car....why not get rid of one or two of their other Divisions (Buick, Hummer, Pontiac, GMC) and stop production of certain models? Easier said than done, Im sure....but come on...dont supress the one model which actually gives you notoriety on the international stage.

Will be funny to see Derek D with his 11-2 handpostion in the Garage419 invitational!!! ;-)
