  A sincere comment to Porsche - give us a change we need!, do a "proper" next-gen Porsche 924 with that new 4 cylinder engine and then come-out with a Carrera version ( remember that cult car with the NACA air duct on the bonnet, ultra-wide front fenders with a big bold Carrera badge on the right hand side and really cool rear guards?, yep bring that back )

Porsche: You're killing me.  Talk about a company pissing away their performance heritage and reputation.  Just get it over with...bring back the air cooled VW Beetle and hang a Porsche badge on it. 

I guess all that Viagra is affecting corporate exec's judgment.

Ahh, here we go again...with Porsche producing another 4cyl car.  They did that in the 70's using VW parts and dubed it the 924.  If Porsche wants to do it right, how about helping VW put out a flagship coupe.  That way, it won't look anything like a Porsche and will (probably) be cheaper that a Boxster, but more than the GTI.  VW needs to give us something since the Scirocco name didn't make it to the states recently.

Has anyone heard about Hyundai importing diesels here in the states?  Could be interesting to watch.  Less expensive cars with better warranties.  Maybe Korea will get the jump on Japan.

* Im not really a SUV, 4WD, PICKUP, FORD kinda guy, but I do love dakar, baja & rally & this thing looks great. Should perform well too. If I were looking in this category of vehicle, this would be it.

Am I the only one thinking PORSCHE 914? Im not a Porsche fan either, however to this very day, I LUV the 914! Bertone X1/9! Lancia, etc. DROOL!

No we don't want a new 924, that reputation is too much to overcome. It was a pos. A 968 would be interesting though.

 Ford still don't seem to get it... what a truly stupid idea to come-out with a truck when they know sales for this type of dinosaur are at an all time low. Way to go Ford, hope sales would disapear to oblivion.
 If I were Porsche instead of putting this new 4 cylinder engine in their Boxter, why not revive a next-gen 924 series and then put that new 4 pot in it. I'm sick of seeing that 911 face being over-used and over-cloned over their entire line-up, get more adventurous in your design statements please!
