all these US models are dinosaurs of the US car industry. Try something new from Germany like an Audi A4/S4 or something like that.

... and even when the US are now behind China in CO² emmissons, it´s time to try a high efficient motor from Germany :-)

viewers choice, lol, well then again u did pick the cobalt all on ur own so i'm sure whatever we pick cant be as bad given that ur gonna have 4 cars u like 2 choose from, as far as the Scirocco R20T goes i still have my fingers crossed but last i heard VDUB wasn't gonna have one of their own cars competing with the sales of the Golf. hope they change their mind. 

I suggest you should buy Hindustan Ambassador (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindustan_Ambassador) which has been a classic car of India very much like Bullet in two wheelers. You must have driven many fleshy and glittery kind of cars from the developed world. Now try something from underdeveloped world. It will give you a new experience and a new look a more funky look which you try to get every in every episode. 

I tell you one thing it is one of the most reliable car and will save you from any kind of accident (even with roadroller) or a missile attack that's too without any airbags.

There are a few things you need to take into consideration when picking out a car, as i'm sure you're aware. 

First: Is it a car you'd be comfortable with driving around to and from work, taking it on the highway, picking up groceries, and things like that? You have to keep in mind the fact that you'll be hitting speed bumps, potholes, and all sorts of stuff in it so it had better be a car you can drive without worrying about scuffing the paint. Practicality is a must.

Second: If the car is actually drivable, is it a car you can have some fun in? This means no SUVs or trucks if you plan on ever being in a city. Since i'm assuming you'll be spending a lot of time in an urban environment, the smaller the better in terms of size, and the more fuel efficient the car is the better. 

Third: As the presenter of a well-respected online car show, you need to pick a car that true die-hard car guys will actually respect you for driving. If it's something you can take to a track and crush mere mortals with, get it. If it steers and drives like a fire truck, don't. It needs to be really really ridiculously good looking (Solstice, Brera, Elise, 500 Abarth), but it also has to be somewhat affordable. It can't be hypermasculine (or else everyone will think you're compensating for something), but it also can't be too feminine. No Boxsters or TTs.

I'd also suggest not getting a car from a company that's headed for oblivion. Having a warranty or being able to get replacement parts might come in handy.

Dave, the Challenger has already been tested with the manual & the pistol shifter they say is quite nice.

DD, is this a personal car or company car???  If its a company car, then you have considerations for practicality, luggage space, extra passengers, etc. Thats probably why you are driving a 4 door at the moment right?

And why in February? The lease runs out? How long u plan to keep your new car? Is the car being provided or subsidised by one of the manufacturers as promo?

How much is the budget? Can used cars be considered?

Dear Derek, 
please think realistically about the choice for your next car.  Don't choose something simply because you may "gain a "Thousand Mucho Guwapo Points" among the opposite and same sex"  Get a car on its all-around performance.  Yes, the Challenger has respectable power when compared to the Pontiac, but it weighs a lot and doesn't handle all that well.  
I am a fan of big horsepower, but the smarter choice as of now would be to go with the less powerful Solstice.  It is more lightweight and will undoubtedly handle much better.  It is also a bit more unique looking.  
Face it everyone, aside from the front grill and rear tail areas, the new Challenger and Camaro look VERY identical (and bland) to each other.

And don't judge from my name, I drive an older Mustang.  I am unbiased towards newer cars :)

P.S.  The Challenger doesn't even come in a manual gearbox version, so it shouldn't even be considered.  Oh please Derek, please tell me you're not going to get an automatic.  If you do I don't think I could ever watch this show again . .

  Also that is so not how to make a sedan version of the Fiesta, have'nt they learnt how not to implement those sort of cheap designs already?
   Jaguar/Tata should take-off that chrome strip from the trunk it'll look more sportier.

you should get any one of these cars: Dodge Challenger, Shelby Mustang GT500, Chevy Corvette, Chevy Camaro, any BMW, Audi S4, Audi S5, Audi S6, Audi S8, Porsche Boxer, Porsche Caymen, Cadillac CTS, Cadillac STS, Cadillac XLR, Mercedes-Benz C300, or you could just get the Pontiac.lol.

Or if you wanna pay a bit more buy something like an Audi R8, Jaguar XK, Jaguar XF, Maserati GT, or Maserati Quatroportte.
