I've been here since day one and just recently I registered as a member to fulfill my dream of becoming a COW. I find it very appropriate to make my first comment on the 500th episode, congrats by the way, and cannot wait for 500 more. FLD completes me! The best source of news and entertainment by far, well except for the three British bloaks across the Atlantic who have just finished there 12th season of Top Gear. (The best show, EVER!!) Although I find it very annoying that they do not test some crucial cars around the test track for a power lap time. I'm surprised they finally did the disappointing Veyron after appearing on the show 3 times prior. Yet TG has still some American cars left out, one the Saleen S7 and more importantly, Jeremy Clarkson 08 favorite car of the year, the almighty ZR1. As a test of your power Fast Lane Daily, I believe you guys can make this happen for me. I mean 40 mil + views on youtube alone, props! Getting Top Gear to listen to this request should be no problem. FLD FTW!!!

The beginning scene setup of today's show was awesome. You guys should implement that style some more. Derek just walking and talking then steps up on his box and starts into the show. It would be pretty cool. You would have to venture out of the office once in a while to make it work and not get old. Maybe at a car show or something. Probably need a special press permit or something. Think about it, Derek walking (or running like a fool like last time) around the Detroit Auto Show pointing out the different cars, then there is a moment that they stop and do news segment. Then they carry on to highlight more of the show and then do another segment of the news. Tie in a auto show highlight with news of a similar theme. Anyway, fun show today, thanks for the hard work and dedication needed to put on a new show everyday. Congrats on the 500th! I hope I never hear the "500th episode" theme song again. That is terrible, sorry Alan. Later guys.

Cadillac SRX looks like a strong gust of wind would easily tip this SUV... New Mustang is the tops it reminds of the old Aston Martin DB8 Vantage in a very good looking bulldog style sort of a way... I miss Alex G....

I expected more from 500, but hey we got a new and painful theme song, so that's something. Oh and DD bought a suit from Goodwill. Nice. Hodge Hawk is interesting. You mention the canopy for the elements, but with that tiny rear tire, a drop of rain would mean a massive tail kick into a tree. As for the Shelby, we'll see. Like Swing said, it was a letdown in round 1...

Whoever decided that the Hodge Hawk needed nineteens were out of their minds. Does the Smart ForTwo have nineteens? No. Does the Ariel Atom have nineteens? No. So why would a car about as short as a ForTwo and as low as an Atom need near-SUV sized tires? For a car that small, steering and acceleration must be important, but tires that big are pointless if that's what they want to achieve. Congrats on the 500th, everybody! Is there going to be anything new for the new year/next 500 that we can look forward to? No more studio tours or introducing people, perhaps? (kidding!)

Hopefully the new GT500 will have the promised 540 horses packed under the hood. Top Gear did the test on the last GT500, which was suppsed to have 500. They put it on the dyno and came up short 53hp for a total of 447. If I bought the GT500 last year, I'd want my money back. On the lighter side, with the new raised hood...that will that much harder for DD to look over the hood and see where he's going!
