In the 2016 law they should include interior standards. Plastic trims was so 1990 for European cars, and in vogue for the US car makers. 25 mpg is considered a gas guzzler in Europe.

If by 2016 just a handfull of people have jobs that can allow them to buy a new car , i dont think many would be interested into getting into debt for another 5 years. I think by this time people are going to hold on to their junkers so the REPO man dont get em when they park their car at a rest stop because they dont have a home to live in. I think the cash for clunkers idia is terrible and messing with the automakers right now will only yield the dominance of japaneese cars because i think they already have this technology and are just wanten they are patient people and they will trump the hell out of US automakers. I dont know we will see . . .

I also hate the new 2016 law. I mean human CO2 emissions are insignificant, i mean the oceans and volcanoes produce hundreds of times more CO2 then humans ever will. So to conclude my statement all these go green laws in the car market are a waist of time and energy.

I hate the new the law for 2016 I heard it was gonna be an extra 2 billion dollars a year for the car companies to do this.

Just Hope that what happened to chrysler does not happen to Tesla messing around with Daimler. Can anyone say who Killed the electric car........
