DOE Grants, US Alfas, Audi A5 Sportback, Shakedown - 06/25/2009

OMG, yes, we NEED the a5 sportback. i have been looking for something sexy like the a5 that has room for others in the back seat! hearing about the hatchback is even greater (so my sub woofers wont rattle the trunk).

Awesome show guys! This episode was one of the best so far(I want to see more desk editions), but I was distracted by Derek shuffeling and stacking his notes 12 times...why didnt Leo introduce himself when he started Shakedown or have Derek introduce him?

p.s. no offence derick ur hot but i think audi aficonado J.F. is totally hott with two t's

heya guys just wanna say i dig the show. i've been watchin for a few years now and genarally love all the hard work u all put in to make a fantasic show daily. here's my comment thou in recent pop culture ( i.e. television and movies) there has been a surge of AUDI products, but yet not much info about these said products being hear in the states. For example the last two Transporter movies both feature audis rather than the cool 5 series bimmer, the fx show Dirt the final season had that bitch of an ass. editor drivin an r8, more recently the McBomb 17 again featured a hott zac efron going to high school in an r8 and finally the gm sponsered trannyformers 2 has an r8 as a baddy. wtf! Why the big hype with Audi but not much if any commercials stateside? just a curious;) comment... peace

Who is the hot lookin blond girl sitting behind derek in the white shirt and that pink scarf? could u maybe have her guest host a show or something? btw thought the desk edition is good and i like that sport back so bring it audi, bring it!

I liked the desk format, especially the orange Lamborghini. But I had to google what was wrong between FIA and FOTA since leo didn't say why they were fighting. Could somebody explain to me why only ONE engineer is rewarded for designing the ENTIRE car ?

Yay for the shakedown, maybe turn down the music a little so it doesnt like like leo is yelling at us in vain. Or maybe its just the subwoofer next to my monitor, great bassline. And also, nascar sucks.

wow, strangely satisfying good show. I think this is the first time i see derek wearing a tie and jacket at the same time. (as himself) The suit is right. F1 is like a bad girlfriend. I used to love f1, then it started bothering, i kept faithful to it because i said, 'it will get better, just give it time.' it didnt. and we had to break off. Now i see it going thru trouble in another relationship and its just amazing to see it from outside. all that squabbling, for what, there's better stuff with less drama out there. (leMans, etc.)

Great stuff Leo! I really like to hear you talk about the technical aspect of F1. You're right when you say Adrian Newey is a master aerodinamicist. If I was driving an F1 car, I definitely would want him designing it. Keep it up, Suit!
