Hey Bob "new car's don't have orange peel"? Lately almost all cars have orange peel from the factory due to the quick drying time required by production demands. Take a look at any Toyota (not Lexus) it's there.

 As for 3rdish, most cars set a code after the pcm sees the same problem after 2 key cycles. So take it out for the test drive. turn it off at a redlight, restart. Then again back at the lot to "hear" the engine run with the hood open or some BS. Then check for for the light ;).
