Top 10 Cars of the 2009 LA Auto Show - 12/04/2009

Ho and by the way, it look like you where over excited about the auto show, and on both the episodes look like there was a really small show with not that many cars or nothing else to show than the cars. I´ll wonder if there were no good expositions or something else, yes i know is all about the cars but if you gona make a coverage how about you do that, cover the age or something like that. hey dont get me wrong i love the show i carry it all the time on my iphone, but thats my comment take care.

Derek it would be awesome if you show on the Adam Carolla podcast, huge fan of both. By the way Adam Carolla is the guy who comment on the front end of the jaguar, you know the comedian.. the Man show ... on comedy central.... Car Collector..... ok sorry i´ll mentioned.

The R8 is not based on the lambo platform. The engine is also not based on the Lambo either. If you look at the bore and stroke configuration of the Lambo it is the same combination that Audi has been using back to the original 5 cyinders.

Ford Fiesta as the #1 car????? If FORD really wanted some notice, why the hell don't they bring in the Ford FOCUS RS???? For crying out loud, Ford is an American car company, and the Focus is an American car, so why the hell does the rest of the world (INCLUDING MEXICO) get the RS? That is the first Ford in many years I would dream of owning. I would dump my VW R32 for the RS in a heartbeat. Heck, if I still had my Sube STi, I'd dump that for it too! The Focus RS is one hell of a car, and it is about time us AMERICANS get a good car HERE!

Great job on the LA show review! On this top ten ten episode rating something awesome happened: FLD staff (or maybe just you Derek) finally showed they have something to say about production cars other than "cool" bodywork or list of performance statistics. What is the car for the brand and what concept it offers us ,the clients are the things that matter!and you did it very well on the top ten rating. I really hope you'll keep this way of hosting the show in the future. And also bring some of it to FLD tours: honestly it's not that interesting to watch you people talk while driving in a park car or public road on the car's stats, watch it goes, watch it comes have a glimpse of the interior. You should compare between class-competing cars (in the same episode preferably), put them to a test (speed, space, fuel economy you name it) according to its main use. One last thing there were hardly any concept reviewed, I hope you left some footage for the next episodes. Keep up the good work and the wacky jokes!

great show, very excited about seeing the cars. I was wondering if there was a way you could do a highlighted cars specs at the end? I'm talking (doing the circle around the car keeping it in frame and listing specs) I would appreciate it, thank you.

By FAR, the best episode of FLD I've seen! Great touch with the Bob guy at the end, especially the Starbucks thing. Also great choice of choosing the Porsche Spyder as part of the list. Wish you had given more info on the Spyder.

Hey Derek, great show today. I thought Bob Shubin was getting a tad old, but you kept it interesting and funny. Also, the JF impression at the end was hilarious; I'd like to see some more of that. I do have a question though, what is it with Bob Lutz? I mean seriously, he's been mentioned in about every single episode for the past three weeks, even when he's not in the news. Sure he's kind of an odd guy, but it just seems strange that you talk about him so much. In an odd way, it's almost like your advertising for GM! What's up with that?

* DD Qn: How is it possible the Mazda 2 comes in 10 and the Fiesta comes in 1 when they are basically the same car? Mazda races more than any other manufacturer? F1? No. Rally? No. Indy? No. And Drifting is not racing. What about the Muscle Cars? Cruze is a hand me down non-contender. GM-WTF? What about the Dodge Voodoo? You walked right past that blond bombshell model with no comment?! R U Alive Man? Porsche Spyder 0-60=4.7 Yawn. Fiesta is #1 only becuz u luv the carpet + the chicks. Prototypes are not cars, they are simply design studies. They should have a separate list.
