This show has always been and always will be about cars, but what the people who say "stop whining about Derek" miss is that the hosts gave the car report format a enjoyable unique perspective on the subject. The same car information we can read from a magazine or journal is brought to life by the presenters. Take the show Top Gear as a prime example, the cars are no longer just price tags and specs, but taken on a life and personality of their own because the antics of the hosts. It made me laugh to see how fast the new Ferrari is while the Stig listens to morse code. It made me laugh to see Derek D bomb another joke or get burned by Trish in between rumor mills. Fast Lane Daily has always been about an entertaining way of getting our car news. To the production crew, please stop this antiseptic new announcer and lack of life in the show. I feel like I'm getting a lecture in study hall. I've seen every airing of FLD, but this makes me want to stop watching. Lastly, Leo's Shakedown is one of the best additions to the show so far. And I ask for the millionth time where did the Alex Gizelas and Carrie Milbanks go? They were a nice contrast to Derek D.

Firstly, I'm not a "Guest". Secondly, This show was again boring, not about the information but how it was delivered. Like cars, they all have 4x wheels, doors and some type of motor. By FLD standards we should all be driving Volvo's(plain,safe,square boxes with no styling)...but we don't. We drive blue,green orange,yellow,small,large,quick,slow,economical,supercharged,twin turbo,4x4,4x cylinder,pimped....etc...etc...Ya see we like things to be different and have a type of flavour. We love Derek D because of his flavour as like what was said about "Top Gear" So,...Mr Wilson,...you probably like things a little clinical in your information, but I liked watching FLD because it wasn't. FLD, your cooking needs some spices! it's a little bland!

I remember when we were younger Derek D would come over to my house and we would all make butt fudgies. He would always share his even when I didn't want to share mine.

I watched todays episode for 30 seconds -right up to the point that the generic Casey Kasem guy started talking then clicked "stop". Bring back Derek D and apologize when you do. Till then, I'll be watching that dribble over at Autoweek.com. Douchebags...

Man I just keep hoping but seriously why don't you just stop making fld till you sort things out? No FLD is better than this. It kinda bugs me that I just added another hit to your site but I just keep stopping by waiting for a change.

This guy doing the voice over reminds me of that scene in Wayne's World when they get bought out and the show turns into a big suck-sandwich. New format is laaaaame. The old show felt different and special...this is like watching a commercial.

I'm not a lawyer, but I would think that using Derek D's image without his permission when he is no longer in the employ of Fast Lane Daily for a commercial airing might cause a bit of wrinkle. Boy Shit Sandwich is really pissing gas on the fire now, huh.

Forget Spyker, and Saab and Ferrari and the rest. This is way bigger than cars most of us will never be able to afford. Its about DD!

I can’t stand it anymore, I have to share the story that he is too modest to tell. DD and a group of friends were mountain climbing on Smith’s Peak in Utah. One of the lesser-experienced girls in the group slipped on her footings and fell 25 feet onto a rocky outcropping. DD was the point man and he was an easy 40 feet above the fallen climber, but made the quick decision to risk everything. After making sure the rest of the team was safe, DD pushed off from the cliff’s face, allowing his body to free fall towards the outcropping, his harrowing speed only slowed by the branches and limbs growing out from the craggy mountain face. Fearing no harm to himself and flexing his muscular body against the high-speed thrashings he was taking, he landed next to the girl and immediately went about his lifesaving work. With nothing more than some climbing gear, a first aid kit, and his Navy SEAL training, DD performed a field blood transfusion to the girl, using his own blood, and saving her life. All the while keeping the hysterical girl calm with his charming demeanor and endless wit. I know, because I was that girl. I had no idea, that puts a whole new spin on the D-Man. Thank you VOD Management for setting the record straight and mostly, thank you DD for all you do.

So, you wouldnt run that stupid commercial if Derek wasnt comming back. When will be seeing him. Thanks you Fast Lane Daily for thinking of your fans.

DD really is the MAN. What he is too modest to tell you, is that he's been busy personally supervising the search and rescue efforts in Haiti. When he returns, he's going to be on a "blue ribbon panel", advising the President and his inner circle on getting the economy back on track, and once and for all, resolving global warming. All monies DD earns with FLD are donated to "Worlds without Fur" and the "Trees are People Too" non-profit organizations. We love you DD. And don't worry, he'll try to squeeze in more FLD entries when he returns.

Funny teaser at the beginning. It's pretty much obvious that the FLD folks have figured out what the rest of us has...that the literally thousands of "Bring DD back" emails are bullsh!t; obviously written by midget DD and his pals themselves. If one cares to take the time to look, you'll see the same words, expressions, syntax, and statements against "the management" written time and time again in these so called comments. All by people who are "guests". Who but a fired, third rate talent would go on comment boards and bitch about "the management"? Who watching a show about cars would really care about the host? Lets break it down: 1) DD had a run and thought he was getting famous 2) FLD wanted to get more legitimate, and can't do so with a guy doing his 20something "dude" schtick 3) So they try something different 4) Aforementioned dude, who has nothing else going on in his life, goes on the comments boards to try to make it look like "thousands of people" give a cr@p. That's why they're all "guests" and that is why they all sound similar. It would be funny, if it wasn't so pathetic.
