They are actually writing software for my mini as we speak! Mine is the gray one in the photos section, Gene's is the matte black with the G419 logo on it. Tom, our cameraman/intern also drives one.
However, if you notice in the main area of the shop behind where Roger and I were standing, there is a large rack of Porsche crate engines that were pulled out of new Cayman's to build GTR's. We're taking measurements to see if they fit in Delorean's. How about them apples?

I think if you're going to add anything to a DeLorean it needs to be a flux capacitor. I mean, it goes without saying.
What are the odds of a Cayman drivetrain fitting into a E46 Coupe?!

Zero. The Cayman is mid engined whereas the BMW is front engined, and the BMW is an inline 6 and the Cayman is a flat six. The DeLorean is a mid-engined car, which is why the swap might work.

The DeLorean is rear-engined, not Mid-. It's an awesome car nonetheless.

Sorry dude but that ex. is heavy and weak! I drive a 92 240sx with an turbo sr and if I had an extra 1g I'd have a full titanium ex. that weighs 11lb, the Porsche gt2 has a ti. ex., thats hardly an upgrade your trading how much exra weight in a rr for 35hp. And its not realy 35hp you have to factor in the computer upgrade.
The Stainless steel exhaust installed on that car weighs 5 lbs less than the stock exhaust does, so its not extra weight. And on a GT3RS that's normally aspirated, a 35 horsepower gain with just exhaust and software is significant. When the GT3 came out, it was the highest horsepower stock 6 cylinder engine ever produced, and with just software and exhaust it's 8% more powerful. That's pretty impressive to me.

Very impressive facility...best show yet!
Just to stir the pot though....a 35/40 hp gain w/exhaust, cats, CAI & tune???...did the boys in Stuttgart leave something on the table w/the GT3RS???...LOL
* Forget Ferrari's??? Uh, yeah perhaps when hell freezes over.
I couldn't help but think when u were reving the engine how anti climactic it was. Rev an Italian car & you see why they are so addictive. Impractical? Of course! Unreliable? Reliably so. But the number one reason people get hooked on Italian cars is the SOUND!!!
When u remove the Polizei 144 off the endorsed jacket? ;)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
ohhhhh shittttt, very well done guys !!! this to me seems like the tru essence of garage419... ...going to local and even foriegn garages, and tuning shops and asking the questions slow people dont wanna ask... ...how much ? LOL
