Good to hear Matt. It is all about how the car makes the owner/driver feel...so that says alot. If it was only lighter...imagine the performance! I will admit I almost bought a regular Mustang GT, but it was just not there in the handling department (although it is nothing like the KR, the normal GT still falls short in its field of competition too).

Nice... I miss my Stang.. Well a lil, but 80k i cant justify the cost.. And, Nismo_Prerunner im about as redneck as it comes, if the lotter came id have my name on the list for a Ford GT not and 80 k stang.. Keep it up guys!

i cannot believe that it weighs that much. and the price? you're absolutely right. How much more $$ would it take the older Shelby gt500 (k?) to achieve the same levels of performance? Another 30 grand? i doubt it.

4100 pounds, not very sporty. And a whopping 40 pounds saved by using carbon. What a waste.

Price wise, the KR is NOT worth it! I can make a base 25k GT just as fast, then put coil-overs on it, stickier rubber and paint it for around 10k. I am sure there are hardcore Mustang fans/collectors out there that will dish out the money for the badge, but for true car enthusiasts…it is an absolute waste of money. There are many four seater sportcars out there these days from 70-100k, which will out perform that car easy. As for the show, great job! Keep it up! I would like to see a bit more professional testing, maybe bring out something to test grip and acceleration, for us enthusiasts? PS: Did you really like the car, or is it what majority of people do when driving an exotic car…get overwhelmed and excited, until they can really sit back and assess the car. One can see it from Car & Driver to Clarkson…they are always blown away at first; then after another test or time to think…the real opinion comes out…so what was your later impression regarding the KR?

* "Multiple feet of snow"???!!! What exactly is your education? Wer dud u go to skuhl? Im going out on a limb here, you wouldnt even need a Z06. 2009 base Vette will have 450hp+-. Even the base model targa or cabrio will be a better overall performer. And at substantial price savings. Like he said, it still a porker & its still a stang & it just doesnt feel like 540hp. AND there is no sunroof or T-Top option! :(

I just wet myself. The entire format and production of this episode was great. The location, camera angles (nice overhead shift clip you sliced in haha), the analysis/discussion, your willingess to drive it hard, your decision not to be anal and have to edit out Gene the camera/sound guy, and taking it on a public road in pt 1 and then the track in pt 2 for some tiresmoke. With this format, and the new stff at FLD youre doing...you guys at NNN are looking good and on the up and up. Looking forward to years of more. And, the GT500KR's whine from the blower sounded INCREDIBLY annoying.

k for a Mustang!?! Never would I pay that much. This car is no match for a Z06 or GT-R in terms of bang for the buck. I'm sure if someone in a trailer park wins the lottery though, they might pick one of these up.
