everyone got a lot on questions around here but here's mine: who the hell is Mike Spinelli. he look like a dumb to me, I mean is that show about learning newz on event in the automotive industry while laughing at this whatever he's doing incompetent?

I have a question for Chrysler. Despite the American car industry is experiencing the woes of our economy. Where does Chrysler stand with the production of the ME-412. It generated quite the attention when it was unveiled. I saw a floor model in Detroit and the Matte Black Dub edition at SEMA. As Viper lies on its death bed I think this would be the perfect opportunity for Chrysler to rise up and be noticed in the Super Car realm. Or is that the big wigs in Detroit think otherwise?

Where's my G--D--- electric car? It should be cheaper to build than a gas car. And don't give me any crap about people not buying it because of range. I just want one for going to work and back. It's not going to be my only car, now pony up!

Hello Matt!.. I agree with you.. it is the best of times in the Car world.. we have 400hp.. cars,, that get 30mpg. it's great.. and I'm loving the Horse power race that on right now! just like the late 60's again. I sell for GM.. here in Aberta Canada.. where we test the full durablity of the cars.. hot mudy summers and very cold winters. what I want to know is, can they make a tougher truck.. one where the guys can out on 60,000miles a year. and make it last for the full 5 yrs. my customers are wearing the trucks out, before they have them payed off. thanks Ben Hunter.

QOD: I just want to see a decent lightweight rear- or all-wheel-drive compact sports coupe designed right here in America. Examples: the Subaru-Toyota AE86 revival, Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, or BMW 135i. I know FWD is way easier to engineer, but man, I want to see a sweet little driver's car so badly from the Big 3. I think the brands that are poised to take on such a task would be Pontiac, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Chrysler, and Ford. All have rear-drive models that can be shrunk and utilized as a premium sports hatch or sedan. I think it would be a great fuel-sipping alternative to the bigger bruisers, G8, Camaro, CTS, Challenger, Charger, and Mustang.

My question to whomever is reading: If I was about to re-educate myself and one option I was looking at is getting into the car industry…design and engineering wise. What is the correct path? There are tons of schools, tons of classes and tons of options. What is the best route to go for a person with a BFA, many other graphics and design credentials, plus working/teaching experience? PS: Spinelli…you are getting better and more confident every show. Keep it up!

Ok i plan on going into the car industry as a engeneer in about 5 years when i get out of college, what should i look for in terms of jobs? Or where should i look for them?

My QOD is aimed at Ford's Mustang designer. I dig the retro body style of the 60's but why would you take several steps backwards in terms of body style? What's the next gen body style going to look like... the 70's Mustang/Pinto?? If that's the case then, I can't wait until Ford brings back the 80's 5.0

Question for the automakers: I am a passionate car guy. I live and breathe car stuff. I want nothing more than to work in the industry. I'm not necessarily asking for a job, but more like will you invite me into your business and see what I have to offer.

ok one to each ford/pontiac/and nissan. ford needs to cut some modles like the extensive number of suvs, truks, ditch the whole mercury brand theres no power, handling or looks. i think the people of ford shold also dith some of the lincoln brand like the truks (useless) and focus more into power and luxurious sedans like the new one in motor trend. i love the ford gt. wat happend to it? svt shold of put twin turbos on to get te 1000 hp. they could o made the inside a little nicer too, it would o been a true gt car. o i do love all the ecoboost pontiac weres the power?i like the g8 and grand prix alot but i think if the solstice droped some pounds put in gms new camero v6 engine it would b a badass car. forget challenging miata. go gun for porche and lotus. even audi. nissan weres a supper infiniti? make a v spec gtr under the infiniti badge. that would b sik o and matt farah u guys never talk abou the ultimate machine, the ssc ultimate areo. wats up wit that?

question honda and similar company exc. Why make a "club racer" version of your eco sports car and go half assed on it. I assume you looked at what an actual sports car look like in their "CR" variants. challenge stradale, GT3, viper ACR. etc. If you sold the s2000 or miata in a street legal race format, you would sell enough to make your money back, maybe a little more.

I have a question for Ford (well, a few). 1. What the hell are you guys thinking? You're releasing the new F150 with 25% less power than your competitors? 2. What is going on at SVT? Woohoo, the GT500KR brings the total S197 variant count to 47. How about an SVT Explorer with the 03-04 Cobra motor that would spank a Grand Cherokee SRT8? What about an SVT Fusion with AWD, a 6 speed, and eith the Mazdaspeed 6's turbo 4 or your ecoboost V6. John Coletti was the man when he headed up SVT, and made some awesome cars come to reality. Bring that back dammit. 3. Who the hell hired Derrick Kuzak, then put him in front of a video camera? He could put a drug addict on a 5 day meth binge to sleep. He is the only man in the world to have ever made more horsepower boring. For those of you that did not see his ecoboost video and are suffering from insomnia, watch it and you will pass out (better than you 2nd personality starting a fight club). If he is in charge of anything that even resembles marketing he should be shocked with a cattle prod until he changes his job title. 4. What is with the Mustang spy shots? You guys just know how to be teases. 5. Make the god damn Shelby GR-1. Why is such an extraordinary piece of automotive art just falling to the wayside? Was Derrick The Destroyer of Anything Interesting the one who pitched the marketing plan for it? Man is that guy boring. 6. BUILD A LINCOLN CONTINENTAL. Make it RWD, put a Boss motor in, make it look like a 63, and most importantly, put suicide doors on it. First year sales will make the Escalade's sales drop like a stone. Even if you base it on a town car frame with a 4.6 it would sell like hotcakes. 7. Why so many products? You wonder why your profit is dwindling, I'll tell you why. No carmaker needs 6 SUVs (I counted the Flex and Expedition EL) in their lineup. Cut it down to the Flex, Explorer, and Expedition. The Taurus wagon will take up the slack of the Escape, and the Edge is useless as a cargo/people mover. As far as cars go, either junk the Fusion or Taurus. Consumers get confused when they walk onto a lot and see 15 different models to choose from. Make sure to have a V8/RWD car for taxis and old people. Ditch Mercury (which as a brand is about as confused as a young Richard Simmons), and work on Lincoln. Again, 3 cars. You need the Continental, a mid-size luxury vehicle, and either a 3 series killer or a luxury coupe (coupé?). One truck will suffice (Navigator).

My question is to BMWs staff manager. Do you know your plastics engineer? He is probably 50 years old and sitting all day sipping coffee. Please fire him, cause the crappy interior fitting and upholstery stitching hasn't changed for the last 10 years.

I want to know what happend to the simplistic thinking of cars like the Cheverolet Monza? A base car 4 cylinder and a V8 spider on the same platform, the possibility of an economy base car for Eco people and a power bassed car for racing. Also what's up with options I don't need? Ex. heated washer fluid, heated and cooled seats and wipers to automatically come on when its raining. Dump the gizmos that don't do anything but cost me money for ones I will pay for i.e. traction control,esc and so on. It would lower the price of the car and give me one Iwuold drive.

My QOD: Why cant the big three make cars that are devoid of any luxuries,including ( A/C, heated seats, sattilite radios and etc.) Make cars that are with tons of fun, lightweight for emissions, anc corners like the devil. GM did it with the COPO in the late 60's to late 70'a. Even the Chevy Nova wa a good example. The car could be cheap on insurance. But when you bought the car they gave you a book on how to stuff a big block 383 to 454 in the engine bay. As for nurmburgring times, unoffical equals bragging right which push sales, offical means that rules will have to be played by and make it hard to govern or follow.

i have a question for Nissan y is the one GTR thats made commercially available to all countries therefore including us {the U.S.} comes in automatic only??? i really dont get that, y dont we have a stick shift option???? all the other skylines came in stick, y is it that one we dont have 2 import to own only comes in automatic??

I have two questions, one for GM and one for Nissan. GM, why did you kill off the EV1? With the way gas prices are, everybody would forget about Prius and Toyota wouldn't be number 1 in car sales. Nissan, the new GTR is one of the best cars ever and the engine under the bonnet is kick ass awesome. So why not make that engine an option for the new 370z?

another question to automakers why do you waste huge sums of money making useless concept cars that you have no plans on actually making ? stop the nonsense and focus you resources and power on making better cars that are in production !!!

the viper acr is a fast piece of machinery , i wonder if chevy will get jan magusson to run the zr-1 around the ring and rain on vipers parade . also holding the viper at redline through a turn is better than upshifting then immediately down shifting which would waste more time . chyrsler is a mess , they need direction and focus , just like ford ! the mclaren f1 is so iconic/great that they better wait and take there time working on a predecessor , rushing to market some crap would be the wrong way to go ! an e92 csl would be a good seller if priced right , but lets get real , there are so many bmw lovers out there that if they build it , it will sell . my question : to ford/chrysler - why do you make better cars around the world and not here ? your suppose to be an "american" car company but you make better vehicles for the most part in other counties ! why do you produce crap (cheap feeling , bad handling , inferior power-trains ) for the american people ? for gm - you guys got the ball rolling in the right direction , your cars are getting better , keep it up and don't drop the ball !!! american car companies have a habit of getting in a good spot then resting on there laurels . keep focus and continue moving forward in challenging the worlds auto makers and continue producing a superior product in the USA !!!

I have a question for car manufactures. My question is what is wrong with the design guys? why cant they make a car that looks good has good performance and keep the cost down? like 350z evo sti etc. there was some efforts with the srt4. which was ok but looked bad, and solstice well, was ok to say the best. all the cars with good engines are well over weight. and r only good for straight lines. I understand that you guys r trying to keep emissions down so i say more turbo charged 4's and 6's
