So, after convincing David Murray to demonstrate launch control you choose to lie to him by saying the camera was off and air it for good measure. You sir, are a dick! I'm not a Porsche fan. I can see why some Porsche enthusiasts are rejecting the double clutch gear box. For me, it would spoil the driving experience. Not to mention, after spending $100k-plus on a sports car I wouldn't be too happy if an electronic nanny voids my warranty after using "launch control" to get the car rolling. Thanks, but no thanks on the PDK, give me a third pedal.

I dare say Colleptic is correct in his first paragraph. Miller Motorsports Park rocks!!! Top-rate facility, and testing the KTM 1190 RC8 there was a trip.

It's pretty ironic that Porsche makes a radical break in terms of no manual with such an incredibly conservative looking design. Could it be they are also very afraid of the outcome? Don't get me wrong, all of that "I want my clutch pedal" wining will eventually go away when it becomes clear that you'd be smoked by the guy with an auto.

To me, Porsche is not thinking straight: they market themselves as an enthusiast based company. The whole point of a Porsche is pure driving pleasure along with usability. Now, how many driving enthusiasts would order their sports car (supercar for the Turbo and GT3...) with a flappy paddle gearbox? Shooting themselves in the foot if you ask me, no matter how good it is. Gimme a clutch and a proper shifter: it's not driving without those.

Compliments to Emil on a great segment. He has a very organized, well thought out and polished presentation stlye. First rate! But don't quit your day job Emil. Matt is still the best. Besides being very knowledgable, and enthusiastic, Matt has that fun and mischevious stlye that can't be beat. Salt Lake City is not as bad as you would think. The Wasasch Brew Pub is a fun place -get the Polygamy Porter, my favorite. El Rio Grand is good for margaritas and has very good Mexican food. Nearby Park City has tons of fun places to eat and party. Miller Motorsports Park is awesome. Watched AMA SuperMoto bike racing there. It is a world class facility.
