A Volvo made from a Ford Focus and including design cues from the Audi S3. That's it.

ok, this is worth to sing up. I might be only 18 years old, but trust me, I know lots about this. Rally is really european thing, and i supose Estonian national sport :D. As you know the finns are known as the best rally drivers in the world. So rally is really a northen-europ thing. You guys really need to prodcast more these things becuse some of us are into rally. And you know, rally isn't only about drifting and power, its about lots of things as you saw in NY rally. And you sure need to make your homework about Sebastian Loeb. sorry about spelling mistakes -.- hoping to see more rally "porn" from you :D ps: red Volvo C30 looks girlish :D bet buys had fun about that BIG guy Mat driving it -.-

Nice episode guys! To drive a rally is so much harder than attending a trackday. These men and women deserve a lot of respect what they can do. btw. my favorite Rally car is a Audi sport quattro S1.

loving the rally ep, u should do like a doc on how drifting launched the drifting comunity, and then do a doc on formula d that would be so awsome

Greets guys - Thanks for coming out to New York, and thanks for the coverage! Great show to get all of my rally friends hooked on. So - We're the crazy ones in the red Dodge Neon. Ask the guys there - We were going as fast as a stock Dodge Neon will go. FWD is not as scary on dirt as you think - it does take some time to master. Left foot braking FTW. You won't plow into a tree if you're wide open throttle and can rotate the car where you need to go. If anything some of those stages had our tail hanging out. The Neon makes a great rally car - just hop in and keep it pinned. The question is: Can you hold it there over a blind crest? Thanks again guys! The red neon is fwd . There is a FWD , RWD and AWD classes in rally new york . The FWD isn't that crazy , the RWD cars are all over the place !

Great Episode!!! Two thumbs up! I have to say that I really like how the volvo c30 looks like and I think it would have been a great competitor with the mazda miada , the saturn sky/solstice and even the honda s2000 but if only it was RWD. FWD cars can't be really proper sport cars. I know some of you guy will star shouting about the Cobalt SS and the relatively fast lop it did on the nurburgring and yes with proper suspension and enough power u can have some fun on a track with it but it is nowhere near the same as a RWD car. Understeer is no fun. Oversteer and power sliding on the other hand is great fun(until you spin out of course). And I have a question. Was that redish Dodge Neon shown at the rally a fwd? If it is, that is just crazy.

It is also interesting to note: the Volvo you were driving is on the same platform as the Mazdaspeed 3. It is sort-of a detuned, less racer ready version of the MS3. In Europe they are working on a 300hp AWD version of this car, which will be very cool. It “might” make its way to the Americas too. I think in the hatch segment, it is the best looking of them all and now with the potential of AWD and 300hp; it is going to be a sweet car.

Nice to see some proper motorsport, and the MKII Escort looked like a nice tidy example. It is really surprising that a car this old is still the mainstay of clubman rallying in the UK, there are still quite a few MK I Escorts out there as well. One question - in Rally NY do they use pace notes or is the route called off maps?
