LOL!! creepy germans!! lol but ya seriously nice review. Who's idea was it to compare the cc to the guggenheim? Because i believe that it is a very good metaphor and or analogy of how the cc compares to the "sea of boxes"

Comments on the CC were spot on.  I'm 6'5" and I made the mistake of 'trying' to fit in the back, there's just no chance.

The German thing was just plain stupid though. If you're going to plan something to be funny, try to make it feel a little more spontaneous.

Your last comment sums it up - wanna be Merc (at least in terms of styling). I would imagine that this thing has some heft to it so the 2.0T engine is just too small no matter what the transmission. I think what you encountered is the VW/Audi gap. As much it might seem to be a great idea to put a better engine in this car, that could make it an all around better car than than an Audi and that would be a problem.

Definately one of the best reviews yet. And I don't say that since I'm biased towards VW. I recently drove one myself and I was really impressed with the CC. It was more along the lines of something I would have expected from Audi.

Good review, I would still like to see some more detailed shots from you guys (dash, gauges, engine, rims etc).

Oh and by the way, as long as the Clam Chowder is coming from Boston its spelt "Chowda". Get it right

I own a 2008 Mercedes C class.  I know I'm bias, but I think the C is better.  Its RWD, plenty of rear space, large trunk, and I personally think it is better looking even with the new VW styling.  I'm sure the Passat is billed as a larger car, but the C has plenty of room.  At probably the same price range as the Passat, I think the Mercedes is a no-brainer.  I know Mercedes quality has taken a hit recently (the previous C class generation was crap!), but I really think they have turned it around with the new C.

Cool, you drove right through my town [Millbury] and even got the name of it on the sign in the episode! As for the episode itself, great job. I liked how you actually had a destination and you weren't just driving around aimelessly review a car. With that said, the Passat CC is one of those cars that is better enjoyed as a person watching it drive by than a person actually driving it. It looks fantastic, there's no getting around that, but it is still a Passat, and that fails to tickle my funny bone.

Somehow, the Passat CC is yet again another metaphor for the Guggenheim museum. It looks really cool and interesting from the outside, but once you get inside you're suddenly not excited anymore. Nobodys adrenaline is going get pumping inside an art museum.

Well another great episode and I also like the car ad his design. And I also don't like is that AWD is only avaiable with the V6. But for us europeans the V6 sucks too much gasoline. We want a strong diesel or the 2.0TFSI with AWD but VW won't give it out to the customers... Very strange thing.
