Ice Racing with the 2009 Audi R8 - Garage419

I dunno... Audi's are replacing BMW as the Douchebag Car. Lamborghini's are too flashy, but Ferrari's will still be damn cool. But if you cruise around downtown by all the clubs trying to pick up ladies in a yellow 360 Modena Spider with your Pomeranian hanging out the window, then you look like a douchebag. Any respected sports car or exotic can be called a douchebag car when driven by the wrong people. C5 Z06's aren't exactly driven by cool people in the grand scheme of things. Even though an R8 will make my life significantly better, I think I'd take a F355 for half the price and be just as happy.

I love the GPS showing the R8 on the water when he's spinnin' around. I used to see that on my GPS all the time, my buddies'd freak out seeing the line of where I was prior.. running through a lake :D

Great show as always Matt. I have always prefered Audi over BMW, and the whole Audi range looks so much nicer as well. I would love to own a RS4 or a RS6! Keep on doing what all you guys do so well!

Love the show been watching it from day one from over the pond in the uk. I like the way you actually like europeon cars and "get" them. But a R8 mmmmm well over here there generally classed as a big TT amongst supercar owners. It's a nice looking car (was next to one yesterday) But to understated to have that price tag. Will ask you matt, R8 or 2-3 year old murci? (oh and audi drivers are the new beemer drivers in the uk lmao. Ask clarkson).

In my opinion (and like all u other commenters said), the best episode of garage 419 yet! One question though Matt... if you had a brand new Vantage (think of it like your vanquish), would you trade it in for a brand new R8? just curious haha

I never remember that v8 bellow being so awesome. A guy I knew had a RS4 and it never sounded so good.

I think Audi is what BMW was 15 years ago. Powerful and Refined. Don't know much about Ice Racing but why were you racing with the windows down?

Whats with all the Audis lately? You talk about brands and their connotations. I think an Audi owner has a connotation of being a bit of a snob, but I guess that comes with any luxury brand.

I've never heard Farah Gush over a car like this. They are beautiful cars. I do like the balance. They are few of us that can afford those hyper cars like the Veyron and Zonda. To me they are only marginally better for a lifetime of earnings more. You hit the whole lifestyle thing on the head but what the hell is "ENHANCED LEATHER?"

I love the cockpit cam because the GPS actually shows you in the middle of a giant lake.

Great Show there was not any point that I did not like. A great mix of the R8 and ice racing. Matt your living my dreams!!!

That.......was.......the best show you've ever produced! The R8 is a beauty from all angles. The V8 is special from its massive performance to the beautiful orchestra it makes. I'm lucky enough to own an R8 myself, even thogh it's a model of the real deal. When that bonus comes around, matt, Go treat yourself to the REAL German Engineering!
