This was an alright movie, but the ONLY good one was the first movie. Oh and another thing, The character of Mia is seen with the Acura Intrega from the first one, which is basically a crappy ricer Honda
I think this movie is the best of the series only because they tried to put some depth in the characters. The second movie was pretty terrible in my opinion, they had no drive to do any of the things they did in that film. This one had roughly the same plot but give the characters legitimate reasons to do what they do. On a technical side, anyone who has ever popped open the trunk of a G35 would know that there is no way in hell that one of those cases of drugs that Braga had them run from Mexico to America would ever fit.
Hi Matt, Love the show- keep up the good work. I am kind of waiting for the F&F to hit the theaters here in India- even though I know that its no Best Motoring. Wanted a small clarification Matt, you mentioned that Jordana Brewster's character drives a turbocharged NSX in the movie- but I just went through the May Issue of Import Tuner where they have done a special feature on the cars in the F&F, where the said Acura NSX-T (T for Targa I guess) is naturally aspirated (with a little intake/exhaust work) and putting down 295whp. It has got a lot of JDM NSX-R goodies, I even checked its owner's profile on MySpace and it doesn't have any mentioned of it being turbocharged. Is there anything in the movie that points towards the NSX being force-fed? I just hope that they haven't managed to dub a voice-over of a blow-off valve. A clarification on this would be welcome. Thanks.
I think Matt was referring to the chronological order in which the series should be considered.

He was, however a bit off. The correct order of the series is 1,2,4,3. This film is set 5 years after the incident of the first movie. In the 2nd film, Brian is laying low in Miami when the cops catch up with him, and he does the whole undercover thing again in exchange for his charges being dropped after letting Dom go in the 1st one. Then in the 4th, 5 years later Brian is back in L.A. working as a cop, etc etc. Dom has still been in South America the whole time. Enter Han, from Tokyo drift, who is Dom's business partner, who leaves after the start of the movie to go to Japan for the "cool drift scene" he'd been hearing about. This explains why Dom is in the end of the 3rd film Tokyo Drift, because he followed Han to Japan after settling his score in the 4th film. Hope it all makes sense now! Also, i wonder if Matt reads these comments.

hey matt you should do an episode about the good old supercars going retro and being reborn. examples- the GTR, the charger, the mustang, the challenger, the ZR1, the upcoming death of the viper. and so on...
another thing, matt, there have been rumors about the Toyota Sura being resurected!?!? i love the supra and was hoping you could look into that.
posted 1 year ago by gtrstreetcar
Unsubstantiated rumors.... There was a "toned down" version of the Lexus LF-A concept that was rumored to be a Supra of sorts, but if you've seen Toyota's model lineup recently, "excitement" isn't one of their mantras. All the performance stuff is going through Lexus now.

yeah, If Toyota wants to get back the younger male crowd it has back in the 90s and 80s, they really should ressurrect the supra AND the 2-door Corolla AE86. and maybe a toyota version of the Lexus is-f

AE86's are only cool now because they have 400hp on built motors. When they were new, they were junk. THERE I said it!
having been called out on this several times over, I resign my throne.

Lol. That's a lot of movies I've never seen. The LM looks like a early model H3/Wrangler hybrid.

matt, i was watching f&f 1, then when vin diseil wins in the begining then walks around to the back of the eclipse, there is a guy in a grease monkey suit, with the same sideburns, same beard, and laughs the exact same way as you, matt. so i was wondering? Was Matt Farah in The Fast and The Furiois?
No, but there's a guy in every town in America who looks just like me, so it was just one of my doppelgangers walking about.

Regarding the LM002, it was also in the movie "Toys" with Robin Williams. I remember seeing it as a kid when it first came out and thinking that the LM002 was the movie's only redeeming quality.
It was in way more than just "Toys". Check this out .

It didn't post my link to www wheelsofitaly com and then search for LM002. It has a good listing of the shows and movies where you can see it.
MAN I WANT ONE OF THESE. Ever since I first saw them. Can get a used one now for about ,000 or so. Pocket change.

great spot! I have actually never seen any of the movies or TV episodes where the car appeared, but good callout.

Yo Matt, thanks for this review man I was really skeptical of this movie. But if your taste in movies is anything like your taste in cars I trust your judgment bro. Hope ya had a good St Patricks day
matt once again...... how can you rank ff 2 at all?! it was as bad as transformers movie in regard to being a hour half long commercial. 1 3. 4? two sucked and so did this g419 show. but i will still represent g419 on the track. you should do a show on four cylinder oval track racing. peace.
Matt has already said he does not like NASCAR, and neither do I. Did I mention NASCAR is boring?

I liked Transformers. Sure it was a GM commercial, and that's lame, but I still watched it not only in theaters, but several times on TV as well.

Thank you. Anyone over 25 and older remembers Transformers GI-Joe and He-Man. The three best cartoons ever. Thundercats a distant 4th.

uh ya nascar is boring, but racing is not dumbass. if we had a road course were im at and an affortable one, thats what i would be doing. racing is racing whatever your racing.

how much did F&F pay you for this review? How many more of these movies can they possibly make.
They can make a lot more of these movies, because people keep watching them. Matt definitely gave a fair review of the movie, so stop acting like you know it sucks when you haven't yet seen it.

agreed

why would a movie pay me for a review? That makes no sense at all. And I didn't say anything about it that wasn't true. I thought it was good, had a fair share of cheesyness, an improvement in car quality, and was high in entertainment value. Not the best movie ever made, but worth seeing. If I took money, I'd kiss way more ass than that.

I COmpletly agree with your order of Fast&Furious 1, (and I can only asume 4, 2 (wich was crap) and 3 wich I tried to watch... and achualy shut off only a few min into the film and havent seen sence.
the only annoying thing i can see in the preview is why dose the STI have a roof scoop like a rally car...if you aren't making a s**t load of dust or smoke it just makes the car look stupid. but other than that the cars look a lot better than 2f2f
good point but that doesn't take away from the fact that they spent more money on cgi than actors...or writers

Some times its fun to turn off you brain. Thats what F&F is about. Its a movie, Not Real. Thaks for the Heads Up on the movie,Yes I'll still go see it.
In SPADES! I love that saying. Much better than In ClUBS. FF1 and 3 are ok. I like the cars but if this is like 2 with the cartoon cars and aimless plot I will walk out. I watched 18 minutes of Redline on DVD before I fast forwarded. I have standards. lol
oh my gosh redline was an atrocity, what a piss shit move. as far as F&F goes i think matt said it all. i'm not gonna go watch it in theathers but i'll c it when its out on DVD and anytime it's on cable just like i've done for the rest. F&F three had 2 be the worst one when it comes to the cast and the plot. the drifting wasnt bad tho, tanner, Ryhs and sam did a great job but if u wanna c a good drifting movie try initial D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsXYKtm4hug

CGI ... blah. Did Smoky, Cannonball Run, Gumball Rally, Grand Prix, Le Mans, etc., have CGI? No.
Just put a microphone at the air intake and exhaust and hire some drivers. "F" F&F ... I like the pic of the Kallenhard corner used as a background.
Why bother seeing F&F when you could just pay the same money to buy "Grand Prix" DVD. Sure the story is equally as pointless but CGI never existed back then. Between F&F and Transformers I dont need to be eye fucked anymore by CGI.
