2010 Lotus Elise vs. 2000 Lotus Esprit

Love the design of the Esprit.  I even liked em better when they had the 4 cylinder version. ;-)

Lotus Esprit any day of the week.  Better yet...Evora.

Well my opinion is that the 2010 Elise is better. I'm not that big of a person so that car will fit me very well.

Has to be the Elise.  That is pure sports car.  The Esprit is a great looking car and has a V8, but nothing is more fun than carving out some canyon/country roads.

Matt, sorry to burst your bubble (again) but the 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena had the highest output per liter of any v8 and it was not force inducted, Lotus Esprit- 3.5 liters, 350 hp =100 hp/liter the 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena 400 hp 3.6 liters 111 hp/liter. Sorry

-I hate to say it, but I would probably go for reliability with the Elise/exige.
After owning a Alfa, reliability just got a bit more important;)

I'd go with the Elise.  A pure sports car with no frills is better than a garage queen that can't start.

The only Esprit I'd want was the 007 car.  That was an Esprit right?

Elise/Exige. Reliability and Handling over raw power. Although I'd still love to have an Esprit.

I hate Lotus cars, I think they're hideous, but that doesn't much matter if you want a true driving car. In the situation Matt suggested, I would probably buy the Lotus Elise, simply because I want the car to start each and every time, and looks better (albeit still ugly) than the Esprit.
