Lamborghini building a new Murcielago based supercar?

The Italian prancing horse may have more competition from the Spanish Bull. According to MotorAuthority.com and ferrarichat.com, Lamborghini engineers, or would that be Audi Engineers, are working on a future super car which could be valued at upwards of $1.5million USD. The thing is, Why? Why would Lamborghini create a car to target the same customers who would be after big brother Veyron? Perhaps this recent story is just hinting at a possible Lambo concept to be shown at Pebble Beach? Even though it is very unlikely to see a Super-Hyper-Exotic Lamborghini, I wouldn't put it past the company. They maintain their brand image by creating out of this world, insane cars which sound great, look great, but will bite your head off if your ego gets the best of you in a hairpin. Maybe they should spend some more time on getting the steering wheel centered in front of the driver.
