Dream Car Tour Wrap-Up.

The tour overall was most excellent. The roads were great. Everything from twisty mountain roads to clear open unpatrolled stretches of highway. At no point did anyone feel lost, nervous, or constrained. Everyone was in direct radio contact at all times with the entire group. Enough radio to make you feel comfortable but not to the point of annoyance. In addition is was nice having Noah in front looking for cops shooting radar. Had the big pickup in the back also watching for cops and gave us roadblocks whenever we had the need. Everyone was nice. Everyone was friendly including the clients. We even learned of the story of the ghost of Kenny Hermann as we passed some spooky town. Also said our peace as we passed the final resting place of Stradale Killa (the Euro 360).

In the end we packed up the Z06 and headed on our way. Lisa said "Happy to be back in this thing. It's the best of the bunch". And you know after driving all those I came to appreciate my car a lot more. It's not only the fastest but feels faster than all of them. Even the torque of the Murci can not compare. The interior isn't that great but it's better than the Murci. The materials aren't the best but everything's in the right place. Amazingly mine was the only car that had touchscreen navigation. The seats are comfortable...even more so than the Bently. I felt like I was sitting in a couch after a long day. Granted that's not how seats should feel for a track car but it certainly is nice. I was happy to have the heads up display back as I was puttering along. And while the car's not an exotic it certainly fits in appearance wise in that group. To me only the Murci rivals the looks of my Z. Then again Lisa hated the looks of the Murci. She felt it looked too squished down. I explained to her why they do that and the handling benefits. But then I took notice of the M5 in front of me at the time and realized sitting higher than the civic next to it the M5 probably laps any track quicker than the Murci. The GT3 is known for it's handling but the Z handles equally as well. And that's while wearing it's runflat rubber instead of the race compound of the GT3. The Z gets the best gas mileage and sounds better than everything but the Ferrari. Ahh the Ferrari. Today I came to realize nothing short of a Ferrari will get me out of my Z06. Lisa's review: "I want this car when you get your Ferrari."
