will agree the camera work was pretty shotty at best.

The camera work is horrible.  The wreck of the Viper could have been avoided with a quick release of the throttle and a smooth steer to the outside of the turn.  It would have scared the piss out of the driver, but it would have saved the car.  Never, never, never brake in the turn.  Hand helds in the car have never worked.  Its surprising that the method is still used.  Perhaps a head rest mounted frame with soft pneumatics and a steady-cam style counterweight.
